I really enjoy Hilton properties and frequently stay with Homewood Suites, Hampton Inn, and Embassy Suites. This particular stay was NOT typical of my experiences.

The decor and furniture are nice and well maintained. The breakfast was as good as it normally is when I stay with Embassy Suites. In short, all of the extras were up to par.

My disappointment came with the one thing I really needed to be right. We came in from a day of traveling , checked in, dropped off our stuff and went to dinner. When we returned, it was late and we prepared for bed. After a while we tried to cool the room. After a while, we noticed no change in the temperature. I called to tell the front desk and she offered to give us a new room but it was after 11pm and the kids were sleeping.

The next morning, I mentioned it at checkout and all I received was an apology and an assurance that she told the manager. Their stated policy is that if we are not 100% satisfied they will make it right. I found their response to be lacking.

We paid the full rate for a less than fully functioning room. DISAPPOINTED
