Village Creek Apartments

#real_estate_agency #point_of_interest #establishment I have lived in Village Creek for 5 years now, and there has been massive change since I first moved in. It all went south once Graystar took over. Since the buy out, the great management team that cared has ALL moved on to different companies. Now they cant seem to hold down a property manager for more than 6 months at a time for the last 3 years. The office staff, no joke, seems to change about every 3 months. Talk about a terrible turn over rate!

Maintenance has gone down hill, as once again the staff has been in and out frequently, but not as quickly as the office.... My recent experience with a leak coming through my ceiling from the apartment above really brought to light how bad it has become. My ceiling has more patches than your favorite pair of jeans. Since Ive lived here, Ive had 3 occurrences in my kitchen area of water coming in through my kitchen light. Needless to say its been a battle to get the water damage fixed. Rather than replace and properly fix the damage, they would rather just put some plaster on and paint it. Even after I was told that they would replace the damaged drywall. I work in construction and have the knowledge of how to fix something correctly, and they failed. The maintenance team also has this bad habit of forgetting to come back and finish the work. Ive had to call them to come back and finish the job more often than not.

Ultimately, Ive come to the conclusion that Greystar must be a terrible company to work for and they take who they can get. The maintenance is a bunch of hacks. Take some pride in your work! If I did the kind of work these guys did, I wouldnt have a job.

What has kept me here is the moderately priced apartment, with affordable storage, in a great location. I plan to ride out this lease and move on, as I think it is time. For the same price, you can find a much nicer home with a more functional layout. Hope this post helps in your apartment hunt!
