Rhulen Realty Group

#real_estate_agency #point_of_interest #establishment I am sorry to report we had a very bad experience with Erik Ruhlen at this agency. We called in advance, gave some price parameters and requirements for the purchase of a higher end vacation home. After driving two hours from Manhattan, Erik did not want to waste his time his words showing us various communities that might fit our requirements, which were spelled out in the call prior to our visit. He seemed to feel we should have been familiar with all of the surrounding area, but we wanted to hear about the differences from him. He also felt we were inexperienced buyers and we should have shown up on this first exploratory meeting with proof of funds and an approval letter, even though we had mentioned before we came up that this was to be a cash purchase, and not necessary until much later down the road to ownership, if at all. We know how things work, and this first meeting was not a time for documents. We have purchased multiple co-ops in Manhattan, residences in New Jersey and Florida, and vacation homes elsewhere, all on a cash basis. His arrogance and lack of respect were overwhelming and we exited his office in bewilderment. His statement to us, and I quote, was I am a busy man and I have clients to take care of.
Well I apologize for wasting an hour of your time that could have resulted in a $60,000 commission.
