I asked for a bathroom that would be easy to clean and that would last us into our old age. This is not the case. Although the bathroom is lovely I have a real problem cleaning the tap end of the bath because of a false wall the fitters put up.
We had the bathroom fitted in June. In November the bathroom was freezing even though we had a radiator big enough for the size of the room. The extractor fan that had been fitted was letting the cold air in from outside.
We contacted Aqua bathrooms and was told they had never had any complaints about this before. We told them there was a part they could fit to stop this problem happening. They refused to do anything about it and my husband had to buy and fit the part himself.
Two of the ceiling bulbs blew after about 10 months. When we tried to get replacement ones they had been discontinued. We asked at Aqua bathrooms where we could get replacements and they begrudgingly gave us two old ones out of their showroom.
The soft closing toilet seat stopped being soft closing after 18 months. When we told them about this they gave us a price for a new one. Surely a good quality toilet seat should last longer than 18 months.
The tap on the sink started to cease up after 20 Months. We had been told the taps were guaranteed for 10 years. When we got in touch about them low and behold the tap was under guarantee but not the cartridge inside it. So once again they quoted us a price for the part and for fitting it. My husband got in touch with the retailer and they sent us the cartridge for free and once again he had to fit it himself. Customer service at Aqua bathrooms leaves a lot to be desired.
